We personally visited this hotel to experience the property, meet the team and look at the hotel through the eyes of an expecting woman or couple. From the rooms and beds to the food, surroundings and little details that can make a pregnancy stay more comfortable, we’ve looked at what really matters when you’re planning a babymoon.
This is not simply a hotel you'll find online — it’s a place we’ve personally visited, we’ve asked the questions. But what actually makes a hotel babymoon-worthy? We look at the little details that can make a big difference during pregnancy. Take a look at what we look for when visiting and selecting hotels.

Are you looking for a luxury babymoon in Mallorca surrounded by nature but within 15 driving minutes from the sea, with a heated outdoor pool, beautiful countryside views, and wonderful food? Then there's a good chance Son Brull Hotel & Spa might be just the place for your babymoon.
As we drove toward Son Brull along the winding, tree-lined road, we could already see the hotel emerging in the distance, nestled among the lush greenery. We found ourselves taking in the beautiful surroundings. It's making you want to take pictures but as we had an appointment we were saying to each other, “We have to stop here for a photo on the way back!”
We parked our car in the shaded parking area, almost entirely sheltered by the trees, and made our way toward the entrance, eager to discover what awaited us inside. We opened the large, heavy glass door, and a sense of calm washed over us almost immediately. As we stepped inside, we found ourselves taking in every detail of the beautiful historic monastery, while the team welcomed us with a warm smile.
Son Brull has a setting that makes you want to slow down. Tucked away in the countryside near Pollença (but within a 15 minute drive from the coast and lovely area of Port de Pollenca), the historic property feels wonderfully removed from the busier parts of Mallorca. At Son Brull the surroundings are part of the experience, whether you're enjoying a quiet morning, spending an afternoon by the pool, or sitting down to a leisurely dinner (their lovely restaurant is known throughout the island!).
Check prices and availability for your babymoon dates. Not sure which dates will work for you yet? Let me check with the Son Brull team. You can reach me at lauren [at] thebabymoonlab.com. I'm in direct contact with the hotel, so I can check availability for you and, where possible, put a stay on hold while you figure out the dates that work best for your babymoon.
One of Son Brull's appealing features is its heated outdoor swimming pool. A pool can be a wonderful addition to a babymoon, especially if you're looking for ways to relax without having to leave the hotel :) The heated pool makes Son Brull worth considering beyond the hottest summer months, too.
This is one of those details that can make a real difference during a babymoon. Imagine enjoying your morning coffee outside, reading in the sunshine or taking a quiet break without having to head down to the pool. Some of the larger suite categories offer additional outdoor features, including private pools. These options come at a different price point, so let us know if a private terrace or private swimming pool is important to you. We'll make sure to book a room category that specifically includes them.
When you're pregnant, food is another important consideration. If you're avoiding certain ingredients or need particular dishes prepared differently during pregnancy, the team at Son Brull will be happy to help you and think things through.
Son Brull offers more than one dining experience, including its 3\65 restaurant and a more relaxed bistro and bar concept. Having dining options on the property is a real advantage when you're planning a babymoon. You can enjoy a special dinner without needing to arrange transport, while a more casual meal may suit evenings when you'd rather keep things simple.
It's worth checking current restaurant opening days and making reservations (or let us do these things for you), particularly if you're visiting outside the main summer season.
Son Brull has a spa with wellness facilities that include a sauna, steam room, and indoor water features. However, wellness facilities require a little more thought during pregnancy. Saunas, steam rooms, and very warm pools may not be suitable because of the risk of overheating. Don't assume that every spa facility or treatment is appropriate so always check with the Son Brull team for pregnancy friendly treatments :) Also, your partner/the person you're babymooning with may enjoy some of the facilities while you choose other ways to unwind, such as spending time in the gardens, reading, or enjoying the outdoor pool ;)
Comfort matters even more when you're travelling during pregnancy, and a good night's sleep can make all the difference. Son Brull offers additional comfort options in selected accommodation categories, including a choice of pillows and mattress toppers in its Villa Suites. Let us check which options are available for your chosen room.
Another thing we love about Son Brull is how secluded it feels, surrounded by the beautiful Mallorcan countryside, while still being close to everything you might want to explore. The charming town of Pollença is just a short drive away, and Port de Pollença and the sea are within easy reach by car. It’s a lovely balance between peaceful countryside living and the convenience of having the coast nearby. Also we just <3 the north of Mallorca, it's really something else then the rest of the island but you'll have to experience it yourself ;)
Son Brull offers facilities and activities such as yoga, a fitness area, tennis, and cycling, alongside its pool and spa. You certainly don't need to make use of everything ;) The appeal is having options if you feel like doing something. Pregnancy doesn't always come with predictable energy levels, and sometimes the best part of a trip is being able to change your plans without feeling that you're missing out.

As beautiful as the setting is, Son Brull won't be the perfect match for every babymoon. Here are a few things to consider before making your reservation.
Son Brull is located in the countryside near Pollença, rather than in a town centre or directly on the beach and it's about an hour drive from the airport. That peaceful location is part of its appeal, but it also means you'll want to plan your transport if you'd like to explore the island. A rental car makes it easier to visit nearby villages, discover Mallorca's beaches, and enjoy day trips at your own pace. If you'd prefer a babymoon where you can walk straight from your hotel to the beach, shops, and a variety of restaurants, a more central or coastal location may suit you better. On the other hand, if you're happy to spend plenty of time at the hotel and enjoy some planned outings, the countryside setting could be exactly what you're looking for.
The choice of restaurants is a definite advantage, but you'll still want to check opening days and reservation requirements. This is especially relevant if you're visiting outside the main summer season or prefer to decide spontaneously where to eat each evening.
Although the spa adds to the hotel's appeal, some of its facilities may not be appropriate for expectant mothers. This doesn't mean you can't enjoy a wellness-focused babymoon at Son Brull but be sure to let us know that you'll be interested in the wellness options so we can check which ones will suit you.
Son Brull is best suited if you appreciate nature and tranquility. If your dream babymoon involves walking down to the beach every morning, spending your days by the sea, and exploring lively coastal towns on foot, you may prefer a different part of Mallorca. But if you picture peaceful surroundings, leisurely meals, and a hotel that feels like a destination in itself, Son Brull has plenty of appeal.

We think Son Brull is worth considering if you want a peaceful, countryside babymoon with a touch of understated luxury. Its historic setting, heated outdoor pool, choice of dining options, and rooms with private terraces make it an appealing option for a few days of relaxation. It's particularly suited to couples who value privacy and atmosphere more than being right on the beach.
As with any hotel, the details matter. We'll choose your room carefully, check which facilities will be available during your stay, and discuss any pregnancy-specific needs with the hotel before booking.
Son Brull may be less suited to couples looking for a lively coastal location or a hotel where every wellness facility is designed specifically for pregnancy. But if your ideal babymoon is about slowing down, enjoying beautiful surroundings, and spending quality time together, it deserves a place on your shortlist.
